Just wanted to give a shout out to Pete Shelley (RIP) of the Buzzcocks, who died last week of an apparent heart attack. The guy knew how to write a tune and arguably was one of the architects of punk rock as we know it. The Buzzcocks were still going strong as of last year: they played last year’s Riot Fest and still toured quite a bit. I got to see them for the first time on one of the mid 2000’s Warped Tours and they were fantastic. Please be sure to do yourself a favor and pick up one or three of their albums this holiday season. You won’t be disappointed. If you have never heard them, the best place to start is the Singles Going Steady compilation and then moving on to Love Bites or the Spiral Scratch EP. Great pop punk to be had here….

Current Listening: Buzzcocks Singles Going Steady, Lamb Of God Sacrament, Reverend Horton Heat Whole New Life
